How to Order a Genomics Report

These steps apply only to reports ordered through Your Genes by Design (part of Inspired Living for Women). If you purchased a report from another company, please follow their instructions instead.

Here’s a simple overview of how the report process works from start to finish, including how to order your DNA test, upload your data, and receive your personalized educational report.

1. Order Your Genomics Report

Complete the order form (coming soon).
Once your order is confirmed, you’ll receive an email with clear next steps — including how to order your DNA test and upload your data securely.

2. Order Your DNA Test

If you don’t already have DNA data, order a saliva test from 23andMe or AncestryDNA.
You’ll receive a test kit in the mail with everything you need.

Here’s what to expect:

  • Follow the enclosed instructions to collect your sample.
  • Mail it back using the prepaid shipping label.
  • 23andMe processing time is typically 4–6 weeks
  • AncestryDNA processing time is typically 6–8 weeks
  • When your results are ready, you’ll get an email from the company.

3. Download Your DNA Data

Once your results are available, log into your 23andMe or AncestryDNA account and download your raw DNA data file.

For 23andMe:
Settings → Access Your Data → Download Raw Data
This file downloads as a .zip. Upload the .zip file exactly as you downloaded it.

For AncestryDNA:
Account Settings → DNA Data → Download Raw DNA Data
This file downloads as a .txt. Upload the .txt file exactly as you received it.

There’s no need to extract, rename, or change any files.
Simply upload the raw file in its original format.

4. Upload Your DNA Data Securely

After downloading your file, upload it using the Dropbox File Request link included in your confirmation email.

You do not need a Dropbox account.

The File Request link does not expire, so you can upload your file whenever your results are ready.

Upload the file exactly as you downloaded it —
.zip for 23andMe and .txt for AncestryDNA.

Your DNA data is encrypted during upload, used only to create your report, and permanently deleted once your genomics report is complete.

5. Genomics Report Creation

Once your file is received, your personalized educational genomics report will be compiled.
Please allow up to 14 days for completion.

6. Receive Your Genomics Report

When your genomics report is ready, you’ll receive an email with a private Dropbox link to download your PDF.

Your report will include educational insights about how your genes may influence metabolism, detoxification, hormones, nutrient needs, and other midlife wellness pathways.
Please download and save your report for your records.

In accordance with the Genetic Privacy & Disclaimer policy:

  • Your report file is stored securely
  • It is never shared
  • It is permanently deleted 30 days after delivery

7. Optional Next Steps

After receiving your genomics report, you’ll have the option to request additional educational support if needed. Details will be provided with your report.

8. How Your Data Is Protected

All DNA data and reports are handled according to the Genetic Data Privacy & Disclaimer policy:

  • Files are never shared or stored long-term.
  • Your raw DNA Data is permanently deleted once your report is delivered.
  • Your PDF report is permanently deleted 30 days after delivery.
  • All interpretations are for educational use only.
